Hi I need some help with a baby grey. He's about 3-4 weeks I guess. Has fur but eyes not open. He's drinking pedilyte from a syringe. He won't take any formula. I've tried puppy and kitten. Didn't know if there is another formula.
Thanks

I am posting a link to a baby squirrel primer from Henry's, it is 6 pages long and has lots of good information.
Kitten formula should not be fed to squirrels, it will cause diarrhea and other issues. And the only suitable puppy formula is Esbilac (the powdered and not the liquid: They are different).
Henry's also sells Fox Valley 20/50 which is for baby squirrels and better than the puppy formula. Do NOT buy the Fox Valley 32/40.
If you do buy some Esbilac, know you can use a combination of 1 part Esbilac and 1 part Fox Valley 20/50... so half of each. This half-n-half mix is my personal preference for squirrels 3 weeks and older.
Often a refusal to eat formula is related to the temperature of the formula. They like it warmer than we'd normally think they would like.
After reviewing the primer let us know if you have any questions! :Welcome to TSB!

Thank you for the info. I have the ebsilac powdered puppy formula. I will try it warmer at the next feeding.
