Old male squirrel - prolapsed penis

Welp,

The old man is having problems again. This time penis problems. We are on day 3 with little improvement. I've done everything I can think of (besides be patient and wait for the ABs to do their thing, of course). We noticed Saturday morning that his penis was prolapsed. We have sugared several times, and have been using cleaning and preperation h on him for 36 hours now, also tried to "slip it back in".


Hes been on ciprofloxacin since Saturday also. He is eating, peeing, and pooping normally.

Other than patience, does anyone else have any ideas

Keep it really lubed up well with vaseline so it doesn't dry out. Have you tried giving any anti-inflammatories at all? We can give you dosing for infant ibuprophen if you want to try that.

Do you by any chance have a vet?

I dont have a vet unfortunately. But he has been on ibuprofen for the swelling and pain (I should have put that in my post-sorry)
