Mama was found dead with 3 9 week old babies in a tree, what should I do?

Has no one responded to you? Were you able to find help? Have you gotten the babies from the tree? Are you sure of the age? At 10 weeks they can theoretically survive on their own...but winter is coming, and mama isn't around, which is still a problem as they would stick around her, learning what to do. Young squirrels that can't fend for themselves need to be taken in ASAP.

I'm sure there are people to better advise you. But I can help with much of the basics if you still need information.

At 9 weeks I suspect it’ll be hard to get them inside. They’ll be very mobile and hard to catch, not to mention they probably already have an innate fear of being handled. You might only be able to provide support throughout the winter. Make sure there’s clean water available close by (I leave a bowl on my deck bannister so they don’t have to get all the way on the ground to access it) and you can get ‘Wild Blocks’ from Henry’s. These are slightly cheaper than the regular blocks but still nutritionally complete. Also, if you’re not sure where they’re staying, you might want to consider installing a nesting box in the tree so they have a covered place to stay warm just in case. Fingers crossed for those little ones.

Best of luck!
