Need Dosing for Pinkie with Pneumonia

My cousin has taken in three pinkies and one of them aspirated last night & is doing the dreaded clicking this morning. Baby is 17 grams. She has on hand amoxicillin 875mg. Will this work and if so, could somebody dose? She does have a 1ml syringe.

OK, amoxicillin on it's own is available in 250 and 500mg pills. Amoxicillin clavulanate, a combo drug, is available in a single pill that has 875mg of amoxicillin and 125mg of clavulanate.

Need to know which one you have. Ask her to read the label carefully, or use an online pill identifier. Honestly, I hope it IS amoxicillin clavulanate - it is a better choice...

Thank you for the reply. She's looked, sent me photos of the pill, and I've looked. The bottle just says Amoxicillin, and online pill identifiers say Amoxicillin Trihydrate 875 mg. Photos below of the pill. She says pills are pinker than they look in photos.

I have gotten access to Clavamox 125mg.
