When should I add rodent block to my babies cage? He’s currently 4 3/4 weeks old , I’ve read anywhere from 3 weeks, when eyes open to wait until 7 weeks so I’m not entirely sure.

I start placing block in with them not long after their eyes open... just so they get acclimated to the block and it is the first thing they eat when they start eating. They sill only "shred" up the block in the beginning, but will eventually start consuming the block. Once they are eating the block well you can introduce veggies from the healthy food pyramid.

I introduced him to them at 4 weeks about a day after he opened his eye but I was worried that’s what had him constipated. Or maybe he’s just pooping less because he’s getting older?

IS this a grey squirrel? Can you post a picture.. they should open their eyes right around 5 weeks, not 4.

I’m trying to figure out how to post pictures, but yes he’s a grey squirrel. Everything I know about his age is based off different websites and mostly http://www.orphanedwildlifecare.com/squirrelcare.htm
I’ll post a picture when I figure it out.

He poops roughly once maybe twice a day if I'm lucky, so should I wait to give him rodent block? Also..I've read a mineral lick is good for them, I bought one in case but haven't used it yet. Is that correct or will it be to high in salt?

You should do as Spanky suggested. Put the rodent block in his cage. He will initially shred it and not eat much but will eventually realize it’s food and start consuming it. Only after he’s EATING the block well will you introduce veggies from the healthy squirrel diet. https://thesquirrelboard.com/forums/showthread.php?44440-Healthy-Diet-for-Pet-Squirrels
The rodent block can be purchased from Henryspets.com. The picky formula or hazelnut blocks are the most well liked IMO.
