I just took in 4 baby squirrels and one of them is injured. She has a small lesion under her chin, almost on her throat and her lower jaw is swollen. Her head is also tilting to the side. Her mouth seems to be painful, as she is barely opening it to take the lactated ringers for hydration. All 4 are very dehydrated. I know she needs antibiotics and pain assistance. I have baytril 10%, Clavamox 50/12.5(OLD), amoxicillin liquid 50mg/ml, Sulfatrim Pediatric Suspension , SMP/TMZ 800/160 TB tablets, infant ibuprofen liquid, and 7.5 meloxicam tablets. Aqua Mox, Aqua Ceph. She weighs 66grams. The story I got was they were found under a tree yesterday. There was a cat hanging around, so the guy put them in a shoe box and left them overnight, hoping Mom would come for them. She did not. We don't know if the injury was caused by the cat or the fall. Can someone dose whichever antibiotic is best and the ibuprofen or meloxicam for her? Sorry for the long post, but am really concerned and trying to give all the relevant information.

Can you post a pic of the injury? In the meantime I will work up dosing on Bactrim and Ibuprofen.

I should have posted hours ago that dosing info was sent via PM
