These look amazing but is it safe? Not sure what kind of tree this is . Husband thinks it’s a wild pear?
Has these blooms and some thorn things on branches.

Look up "Callery Pear" and compare to what you have. They are being named invasive in many states and planting new ones is illegal. Oddly, I just saw an article about it on MSN.com! From what I see the fruit is okay, seeds need to be removed though as they contain arsenic like apple seeds do.

The wood isn't an issue, just the pits of the fruit are.
Pear and apple trees are not particularly toxic, nor are the ripe fruit.
The seeds contain amygdalin, which is a glycoside that can release cyanide.
