About 2 weeks ago a friend of mines chihuahua dragged in this baby squirrel and had mauled her back left leg and the baby was bleeding pretty badly, we weren't sure she was going to make it but she did but I don't think she will regain the use of her leg. I have been monitoring and feeding her making sure she is comfortable and she is doing so well she is so sweet and playful. But tonight I noticed a lump or bubble looking growth on her back. I'm assuming it's where the dog bit her because there is some scabbing and hair loss. I'm worried it may be infection. I don't really know what to do. I don't have money for a vet and I don't want her to die she has already made it through the tough part and she is super sweet. PLEASE help I really want her to survive this. I will be so upset if I fail her as a rescuer.

Can you post a picture of the wound / lump?
Also, check you cupboards for antibiotics, ask family, friends and neighbors. If you find anything, post the drug name and strength and someone will advise if the medication will treat her effectively.
We will need to know the weight of the baby squirrel as well for dosing.
