Hello!
I am new to this forum, but I was wondering if anyone here knew how to safely perform the Heimlich on a squirrel. Sometimes I'll hear the fellas gagging a bit when testing a particularly large piece of food.

I would identify the food they are gagging on and remove it. For instance many squirrels have gagged on grape skin or apple skin, so I will remove the skin like that if I feed those foods.

What do you feed your squirrel.? Do you have a fox squirrel? We would love to see a picture.

How old is he? By the way, welcome to the squirrel board. There is a ton of good info on this forum.
