I have a 60 gram baby who sucked in formula on Thursday night. Since that feeding he has not been eating. I have tried my best to keep him hydrated with water with a little honey added. I hear a click and he has been sneezing. He has just now developed a weezing sound. He is very lethargic and only sleeping at this point. The only meds I have are amoxicillin 500mg and sulfameth/trimethoprim 800/160mg. Can someone please give me dose information. I know these aren’t the meds of choice but it is all I have and I would like to at least try to save him.
He was being feed FV formula with a small o ring syringe with a miracle nipple.

I sent you dosing for the SMZ-TMP by PM. Please call around and see if you can find someone with a single Cipro tab. It is much, MUCH faster working.
About the formula - he needs food, and it could be why he is lethargic. How are you mixing it? How many parts water and how many parts powder? Try warming it hotter than you have been. Babies seem to like their formula hotter than their real moms could ever deliver and sometimes warming it up more will induce them to eat.

Thank you so much! He is doing a better this evening. He is actually eating and more alert. Formula is mixed 2 parts water and 1 part powder. I didn't realize FV needed to be stored in freezer after opening. Could it be bad? I made emergency GMF and he is eating. I have FV Ultraboost can I add it to GMF? I will order new FV formula.

It is certainly possible. From what I can tell, these are okay until the factory seals are broken and at that point they need to be kept cold. Since it is a powder, you can take it straight from the freezer and mix it up to feed; it doesn't need to be defrosted or anything. In my case, I very nearly killed my very first baby, Mister P, with rancid Esbilac powder. That was a very long night with him crying nonstop. I ran to the pet store and got a fresh container in the morning and at that point I could see the difference between the two. There is no reason at all that the FV can't do the same thing, and since the fix is just popping it in the freezer, I always recommend it. I keep ALL food in the freezer (except fruit and veggies) - happily the Henry's food puts this info in big letters on the front of their packaging. I tuck my human food into the tiny spaces left in the freezer between all the squirrel stuff!
If you read the actual ingredients in the Ultraboost, you will see it is basically freeze dried heavy cream, which is already a part of your GMF, so I would go very easy with it - add a teensy bit and see how it goes.

I ordered new FV and will store it in the freezer moving forward. He is eating well and going potty normal. He is definitely more alert and not putting up a fight to eat. I just fed him and he is actually moving around and playing in his cage. I huge difference this morning from the last 2 days!!
THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOU HELP!!!!!
