Dosing sent for Amox Clav.

Any chance you could get Cipro or Baytril? I haven’t had good results with Amox Clav for AP.

Im in a similar situation except the little guy that was brought to me day before yesterday isnt in as bad shape as far as weight, but I noticed that when he would sleep he was making this noise that was kinda between a sucking noise n clicking his tongue. a few years back I helped my mom raise a couple squirrels and know about the aspiration pneumonia but I didnt know they would make that clicking noise till I done some googling,my point that Im trying to get at is Im not 100% sure if that was caused it,or if he has been cold, but can someone please tell me where I can buy the Baytril,or any other antibiotic I can use. Thank you so much!!

The best place to get antibiotics is to ask family and friends. Many people have left over antibiotics. You only need one pill.

Hi Elly may, welcome to TSB

The best antibiotic is Baytril/animal version and Cipro/human version. You only need one pill. Ask your friends/family. The antibiotics need a prescription from a vet or doctor. If the baby has AP you don’t have time to wait for something coming in the mail. Does the baby click on every breath? What formula are you feeding?

Sorry for the delay on getting back with you,Ive looked everywhere today for a cipro pill.My last option is going to the dr first thing in the morning and trying myself to get it,there were no appts available todayNo he dosent make the clicking each time, and dosent do it at all while he is awake, but hes taking less formula now and Im really having to be extra extra careful that he dosent get chocked. Im giving the Esbilac puppy formula. Do you have any recommendations on something that I could add to his formula or give him that would help boost his immune system? Any tips or info is greatly appreciated!

We can try it. Are you convinced that he really does have aspiration pneumonia?
I would need a weight.

If he has AP, I would like to see you get Baytril. But we can dose cephalexin for your baby, but need a weight for your baby.

Too many babies have had issues this season with poor growth, possible MBD, and unrelenting diarrhea, with Esbilac. Great idea to switch to GMF.

To be honest Im not 100% sure let me see if I can upload a video of what hes doing, and get your opinion before I give him anything
