About 2 months ago we rescued a female about 9 weeks old. She was in horrible shape. She has recovered nicely but is, I believe blind. At least partially. I already have one NR a male and have limited space for a live in. I am hoping someone licensed within a state or so drive ..Nebraska, Minnesota, Missouri, South Dakota, Illinois might have a forever home for her. She is dear. Timid, understandably so, not bitey. Any dedicated professionals please contact.

Thank you for saving her life; I wish I was closer. I don't know of anyone in those States; most of the members of this board are located in the Eastern US.

Can you post a photo especially of her eyes?

So you know, the majority of licensed rehabberswould not take a squirrel from out of State; and if not releasable would have the squirrel euthanized. Some rehabbers I have heard release blind squirrels; that to me isn't humane to do, for if blind they likey wouldn't survive for very long in a strange environment that they didn't grow up in.

Squirrel refuge, located in Vancouver WA. may know of someone in the region you have noted you are willing to travel to, that is willilng to take on the care of this squirrel.
