Self mutilation

I have a 2 yr old NR (neuro problems) who recently started biting her toes on one foot. I’m not sure if it started as another one of my squirrels biting her toes through the cage bars or if this was purely self-inflicted. I was able to wrap it with vet wrap and she left it alone until I changed the wrap yesterday. I just went to check on her and she managed to get the wrap off and make it 10x worse. I have her on Gabapentin, Metacam, & SMZ-TMP. A vet will be hard to come by as NRs are illegal where I am even though I’m a licensed rehabber. I need some guidance on if I need to change any meds and what I can do to keep her from biting it while it heals.

Was she on the gabapentin for her neuro condition before she started chewing herself, or was that started afterwards?

In addition to meds, Methylcobalamin Vitamin B 12 improves nerve function and reduces pain in rats with,

'peripheral neuropathy' a painful condition which can effect the nerves of the appendages of the body.

Was she on the gabapentin for her neuro condition before she started chewing herself, or was that started afterwards?

I started her on it because of this. She wasn’t on anything before. Her neuro issues aren’t obvious, just things here and there that would make her NR so I never had her on any meds. I had her in pre-release and everything before I finally made the decision that I couldn’t release her. She had a head tilt as a pinky but never any other signs. Once I moved her outside she would sleep on the floor in their food bowl and that’s when I was able to notice how much she couldn’t climb well either.
