I'm confused by all the feeding options. Hopefully this storm will not bring in babies for me however I want to be prepared.
What is best to feed pinkies?
For older but eyes still closed, what is the best to feed?
I've seen mixing Foxvalley with ultra Boost, can that be with 20/50 or should it be 32/40?
Is using Esbilac safe again, if so should ultra Boost be added🤷
I know I'm late at preparing however our hurricane season has just begun so I need to get my supplies ready.
Thank you 👍

Abby, here is what I've done for the past three seasons. There are other perfectly good solutions out there but I choose this one because...
1. It makes really healthy babies
2. I am disorganized; can't rely on things that need to be ordered way ahead of time online because I'll run out way before! FV is fine; Leigh gets it to me immediately. Things like Zoologic, etc...Long wait.
3. It makes really healthy babies. :grin2
0-2 weeks: 1 part Ultra Boost to 3 parts Esbilac
2 weeks to eyes open: 1 parts Ultra Boost to 2 parts Esbilac
Eyes open to weaning: 2 parts Fox Valley 20/50 to one part UB*
*Heavy whipping cream can be used while waiting for the Ultra Boost to arrive
The Ultra Boost prevents that "gangly teenager" stage (9-14 weeks) where they seem skinny and hyper and nothing puts weight on them.
Just my two cents!

Maura, what Esbilac now? I saw some on Amazon, it did have the probiotics, but did not have the USA on can🤷
I'll see if I can put it up here.
Maybe if you could show a pic of the correct Esbilac. that is what I'm confused about the most.
I'm guessing no one uses the FV 32/40 anymore 🤔
Thank you!

Is this the current Esbilac we are using 🤷
There is no probiotics banner, I don't see the USA on can so not sure if I should order it???
Thank you.

Where are you getting it from?
If you are ordering online, it is entirely possible that they are SELLING the right stuff but are using an old photo on their website.

Amazon.
I could just go to Petco I guess, just wanted to save a trip😉
What is the correct Esbilac, I'm just not sure🤷

I haven't seen any of the OLD stuff around anywhere forever. It is the sell by date that tells the story - it isn't "good" or "bad" based on the probiotics, in fact most of them are killed when the formula is heated. But the change to adding probiotics happened at the same time they changed the calcium source, which is what killed so many babies a couple years ago, so looking for the "probiotics label" was just an easy way to determine back then if you were getting old or new formula.
You can always send it back at no charge with amazon if need be... But I can't see amazon having old stock due to the amount of business they do.
