All My Neighborhood Squirrels Seem GONE!!!

I put out peanuts and sunflower seeds for the squirrels. I had plenty of visitors, including my girlie - Squirrelie. I ran out of goodies for a couple days so figured they just weren't as obvious since I had no food out. But since I got more peanuts and seeds, I have not seen any squirrels! Today I saw a black one in my yard but usually there are lots of squirrels partaking of the offerings. I'm afraid to hear that this is indicative of some predator moving through the area.

I guess it's been more than one or two days since you started feeding again and that's why you're concerned no one's been coming back? Is there anything else going on like noisy and prolonged yard work by you or a neighbor? Maybe you have a lot of females and they've all given birth in close timing of each other and are in confinement? (Yeah I don't really buy that one.) I hope if it's a predator it moves along and things get back to normal.
