This is #7, was dropped off late at work. Ran over by lawnmower. The foot is gone and the tarsus may be broken. I didn’t want to stress it any worse trying to x ray.

Is there a dose for meloxicam? And an oral antibiotic? No other wounds; does he/she stand a chance at survival , or a happy life with my gang??

I can’t stand the thought of euthanasia; please tell me there’s hope!

What can I give for pain and infection?

I PROMISE to order a wildlife formulary! Tell me the best and I’ll order it tonight!!

It probably weighs about same as the other 6; 50-60 g

ugggh.. poor thing. I don't have experience with rabbits but I am pretty sure this one would never last long out there without a foot. :(
Hopefully someone with bunny experience can tell you what is best in this situation.

However, Meloxicam is safe for rabbits. Dosage can be up to 1.5mg/kg but it starts at lower levels (0.1-0.3mg/kg).. Maybe try 1mg/kg.

Since this is wound that involves bone and soft tissue, clindamycin and clavamox are my normal go to but they are not recommended for rabbits. Could try baytril or SMZ-TMP.

The two manuals I use are Plumbs Veterinary Drug Handbook 9th edition and the Wild Mammal Babies 3rd edition.
