I'm going to pick up what appears to be a baby flyer this evening.
People's cat was chasing it around their yard. They said they got to it before the cat did.
From crude pictures it looks like a young or baby flyer. They said only problem was maybe a slight limp on rear leg.
I thought I'd take it and look it over and try to hydrate. Hopefully no cat injuries.
What else do I check for? Chance of re-uniting with family? What to feed if needed?
No experience with flyers here. So any info/advice appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Juvie flyers' fur appears "greasy", so that may help.
If it was being chased by a cat, antibiotics are recommended; Baytril/Cipro and Clavamox/Augmentin are just a couple that are suitable. It is nearly impossible sometimes even for the most experienced to see cat bites and scratches.
If you learn more, post more!

This baby is eyes open, fully furred. Fur looks healthy and dry.
The baby was defensive and spunky acting when being held with a cloth to transfer to my cage.
Appears to be asleep under a cloth now.
It's roughly the size of a 6 week old gray. Maybe a little smaller.
I have an ab, bactrim. SMZ/TMP DS 800-160 TAB It's from 2018.
And I wonder about hydration and nutrition. I have HHB's and boo balls I made.
The cat had handled it but no signs of injury.
Can eyes open flyers be handled?
I have an ounce scale. Will that work?

Could someone tell me if the bactrim is suitable for possible cat handled flyer and how to dose a tablet.

Yes it would be. Meds are dosed by body weight.
Need a weight on flyer and milligrams of the bactrim tablet.

Looks like an adult to me and yes it can be handled.
Use a piece of fleece, be gentle, cup it like a bird and don't let go of it!
These little's could put Houdini in a back seat, they can get through the
smallest crack and be gone without a trace if they have a mind to.
I won't even try to guess the weight of a flyer, still need a weight to dose.

Thanks SnS
I got her (I think) to take about 1/2 cc of ped.
She doesnt appear to be interested in water from a bowl or bits of food I put in with her. I'll have to get some Esbilac tomorrow.
She hissed at the syringe at first but once she got a taste she seemed to love it.
I'll try to get her out for a weight.

Looks like her weight is fudge over 1 ounce so I'm guessing 35 grams.
She took a few more drops of ped + water and had a morsel of food in her mouth when I got her out of cage.

I'll send dosing for the Bactrim in a pm...
