Hi,

My 3 and 1/2 year old female squirrel is very fat, but tonight she seems really bloated. Could she be constipated? If so, is there something I can do or give her? Is there something else that it might be? It seems like the less i feed her, the fatter she gets. I let her out everyday for exercise, but she seems to want to go back in her cage after 30 minutes. Today I gave her a Romaine leaf, a Henry's squirrel block, a grape tomato, about 1/2 tablespoon of Avocado, a cauliflower floret, a hazelnut and a pecan. I don't give her the nuts until later in the afternoon so that she'll eat the veggies first. I gave her a broccoli floret but she didn't eat it. Some days she gets a piece of carrot or sweet potato or a piece of fresh corn cob, kale, a wedge of apple, a blueberry, a strawberry, - trying not to give her the same thing everyday. I put it in life threatening because I read somewhere about a bloated squirrel exploding. Sounds weird but i don't want to take a chance. She does not let me pick her up- my fault because I had intended to release her. So it's not like I can pick her up and stuff her in a carrier and take her to a vet.
Thanks

You can give her 1-2 drops of Gas-X (Simethicone) to help relieve bloat.

Thanks for giving the actual ingredient because I had to get a different brand and I knew what to look for.
