Hi all, I have some fairly graphic photos of a backyard friend and I was wondering if anyone has seen this before or has any input on what it can be? This cropped up Feb 6 and it is still just as present as ever today. She eats and moves around just fine, she sits on it even, so I don't think it's anything causing her great pain despite how much it hurts me to look at. Initially we assumed it had to be a prolapse of some kind, although HRT4SQRLS suggested it could be retained placenta as she was clearly newly nursing when I met her. 5 weeks later and no change, at least it's not bloody anymore.

I find it highly unlikely I can intervene in any way, nor do I want to unless she goes downhill. I believe I've seen this once before but not for an extended period of time. I would just love to know what it could be since it's so very noticeable. She's pretty cautious of other squirrels, clearly non alpha so I've never gotten close enough that I can say for certain where exactly it is protruding from :( Thanks in advance for any and all ideas. I'm happy to help her in any way if I can, but since she's been surviving this long I hope it's just a non issue that makes her easily recognizable to me so I can isolate her snacks :Love_Icon

I see you’re in Central, FL. Send those pictures to frontdesk@ravenwoodvet.net. Put att:Michelle on the email. She will print the pictures and leave them for Dr. Emerson to see. You might give them a phone number and share a little history about her. Ravenwood Vet Clinic’s phone number is 386-788-1550, if you need it.

Dr. Emerson is located in Port Orange, FL. If she felt it was something that needed addressing it wouldn’t be too far for you to travel.

I emailed them what you suggested. We're familiar with Dr E :) I will update if I hear anything back
