hello, I have been giving my 3 squirrels mazzuri rodent blocks about a handful a day. The other two are fine but Clyde is losing weight his spine is showing a little. I do feed apples and sweet potatoes. having him this long I have never seen him this skinny. His top front teeth have recently also fallen out and they seem to not want to grow back. I do not have a vet in the area. Is there anything I can do to help him? He seems to eat his blocks fine. He is usually pickier with his fruit and veggies. Should I maybe try feeding him more fruit and veggies?

very strang. After i fed him today he looks alot more full. I feed him every day maybe it was me overreacting. but should I still be worried about his two top front teeth?

I'm so sorry to hear about his teeth. My boy Conker has no uppers, only because he had odatomas, he only had surgery on the left side, twice ( because the dang thing grew back) he fell once hit the right upper I took him to my vet, she was able just to pull it out as it was just barely hanging on and it never grew back 🤔 I assume because of the odatoma. The odatoma was not big enough at the time to do another surgery.

Ok sorry for the book but wanted to say there is a reason for the teeth falling out, it may not be anything related to odatomas but more likely diet.
I use to use the blocks your using and was told Envigo-Harlan Teklad Rat food diet global 2018 is much better (I get it on Amazon)
Also there is a chart on the board showing healthy squirrel diet (you may already be using it) I would certainly add more veggies to the diet, fruit is ok but should not be the main part of their diet.
Does Clyde seem hydrated?

yes he does seem like he's hydrated he drinks fine. it seems like one of his lower teeth have fallen out also. I have been cutting things up smaller for him to eat.

Hello after holding Clyde today I have notices another front tooth is missing. he also wakes up with eye gunk but I can wipe it away with a warm cloth and it's fine. I use the squirrel diet guidelines. He gets Mazzuri rodent blocks and usually veggies and fruit.

I would suggest diet change using the other block.
Also here is the healthy food diet chart.

He may need more calcium etc. I hope others will chime in here to give you some better ideas.

HHB are very good!
I'm not sure about extra calcium, I only put that in wondering if that could help. Then again too much isn't good.
I believe the HHB will give all he needs, let others chime in.
Along with a good diet. Does he eat the foods from the healthy food chart regularly?

If you can provide a picture that would help a great to assess the issues with the teeth and any other health problems.
