Meet my backyard Squirrel...what is the gender?

Hello Squirrel friends. I've become pals with my backyard squirrel, I found him at my back stoop as a younging, he had no tail and a broken arm, my heart broke. I fed him nuts every day and he kept coming back and eventually his arm healed. Now he is thriving and climbing around the trees, but still visits me everyday for a snack.

I'm curious if my friend is a he or a she .. I got a look when he jumped up on my back window, can anyone help me out and figure it out?

Yep, female. They can manage fine without a tail. I had one that roamed my yard for several years that had no tail and she was dominant.

My yard squirrel "Stubbs" does fine without his tail and he is at the top of the pack in my yard. Your squirrel "Little" will be fine too, especially with any treats you can give her during the hard winter months!
