Feeding Questions

Hi Ya'll! I have a couple more questions about Simon. He opened his eyes Thursday so I assume he is 5 weeks old. I want to know if I should feed him every 3 hours or every 4? I also want to know when I should put out the rodent block? He only has his bottom teeth, so I'm wondering if he can even eat it?
Also if anyone who reads this has bigger squirrels I have a question about something I saw in the grocery store today, apple chips. Has anyone seen these and if so could I give them to my bigger squirrel or is that a no-no?

Your little guy should be fed about every 4 hours. He needs 4-5 feedings per day. You should offer foods because his top teeth will be coming in soon. He may like to suck on the rodent block for now, probably not though. As for the apple chips, I haven't ever used them so I am not sure.

mmm apple chips are usually treated and glazed. i would advise against it- i think one apple chip once in a while, as a very special treat, wouldn't hurt too bad. but it shouldn't be an everyday thing, you know?

unsalted peanuts are an excellent little treat, though. squirrels go nuts for 'em! :)
