Baby is having tummy trouble today. He is hungry when I feed him, but stops after 2 - 3 ml and his tummy is hard. He will stretch his body our as far as he can and seems to strain. He is tinkling just fine, but has not pooped but once today and that was a very small amount. I have tried feeding him more frequently and not as much, but nothing seems to help. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. I will check back in just as soon as I can. Thanks!

Baby's tummy maybe upset from the antibiotics. Are you giving him probiotics or yogurt? Antibiotics can dehydrate the system so I would add pedialyte between regular feedings and probiotics two hours before or two hours after antibiotic administration.

Sorry to have to say this but when we went for his 8:00 feeding we found that baby had passed away.:Love_Icon :Love_Icon Thanks to everyone for your help.

Nutkin - So sorry to hear that "we" lost him. Keep the faith though - more little fuzzers will be needing help in the future.

Any ideas as to what may have happened?

Don't know, I came home from work about 3 1/2 hrs after I fed him last and he was gone.

Many thanks to everyone who helped me and Baby through the last week. I think I am going to take a few days to recharge. We have had three deaths ( baby Hazel Nut, Baby, and my ancient dog Rosie who died of heart failure )in our critter family in less than two weeks and the emotional strain is just a bit much right now. I tend to get very attached very quickly. I don't mind releasing them into the wild if that's what they want, but it tears me appart it they pass on. I just wish I could have done more, but it wasn't in God's plans.
I think NutNut and I are going to be spending alot of time together as she is the best therapy I have and always boosts my spirits. Thanks so much for understanding and for being here for us. Love to all.:Love_Icon
