View Full Version : is there any method or a way to release a squirrel
hi friends...I have an gorgeous Indian Palm squirrel that 16 weeks old...my questions are what is the best age for releasing a squirrel and is there any method or way to do that ? will they be able to survive ? my this baby I found when she was around 4 weeks... here I attach picture of her 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 316449

I don't have any experience with Palm squirrels but generally 16 weeks is about old enough to start a SOFT release process. Here is a thread about the soft release process:

The soft release process gives the squirrel time to adapt to being outside which maximizes it's chances of surviving. A hard release is where the squirrel is just dumped outside all at once, this is harder on the squirrel and reduces it's chances of surviving.
She is very cute but looks very small, perhaps that is normal for a Palm squirrel?
