Amox dosage

I posted earlier that my little one is not doing great. He weighs 1.7 oz which I believe is close to 49 grams. I only have 500 mg capsules of amoxicillin. How much and how to I mix it? He has been suckling himself as well. I have silver sulfadiazine cream. Can that be put on his belly?

I have sent a PM with dosing instructions for Amoxil 500mg cap and a 50 gram squirrel.

If this is Aspiration Pneumonia, the amoxil is not an antibiotic that is all that effective although sometimes it works.. but that means sometimes not. It is also slower acting so if it does work, it will take a loner time to see improvements.

Ask family, friends and neighbors for any antibiotics they might have and post if you locate anything else and someone will advise if it might be more effective that the Amoxil.
