Hi, I am the mom of Teeney, Blaze's sister. She started having diarreha yesterday afternoon. I was told it was from overfeeding. She still had it today, but not as bad as yesterday. What do I do. I cut her feedings back to 1 cc every 2 hours. She wasn't very good when I found her,she has come a long way. I just don't want anything to happen to her. Can someone help me please. For picture she is about the same size as Blaze's moms picture.

GB is right. Try alternating the feedings with some warm Pedialyte. Also, be sure to weigh the baby, and then weigh an empty and full syrenge. You should only be feeding 5% of the body weight.

Other things that can cause diarrhea are feeding formula that is too cold or too hot.

Gammas baby has it right. Take your baby off formula for a few feedings and back on pedilyte to flush the system then start back on formula slowly. You will have the best results with Esbilac puppy formula powder and organic live cultured yogurt ( for probiotics ) mixed to start 1 part esbilac + 1/2 part yogurt in 4 parts warm water for several feedings. If the diarhea does not return go to 1 part esbilac + 1/2 part yogurt in 3 parts water again for several feedings. Then if all is well you can go to full strength 1 part esbilac + 1/2 part yogurt in 2 parts water. I suggest the powder as it is less expensive in the long run as it does not spoil as quickly. If you do use the liquid do not use it beyond the 72 hours recommended on the package as it is spoiling. You can store the powder in the freezer and take out a smaller amount to keep in the refrig to make your formulas from. Hope this helps.:)
