Squirrel is 3 weeks, 42 grams, bulge in left side.
Poop is thin yellow diarrhea.
Stomach is firm, but not overly extended.
Treating as if bloated.
Anyone know what this bulge is?

Wooo... that is worrisome. There also seems to be another kind of bulge or i don't know what below his penis, am I imagining things? Almost looks like a huge hernia there. Can you take more pictures so as to help us get a better idea?
Off the top of my head, I'd say it almost looks as if the stomach has been pushed to the left side... like we can see the milk line in that bulge. Does he seem sore if you gently press it? What kind of formula are you using?

Pictures do not accurately show what i am seeing.
There is a large area above his penis, color is clear (not pink) and it is hard to the touch.
Both sides are soft to touch. Bulge to side includes milk line, like his stomach has been shifted to the left.
Milk line does not go across entire chest, is just on left side, stopping at hard clear area.
This is almost like a form of hernia, or fluid buildup in the upper abdomen that has shifted the stomach to the side.

Update: Bulge in left side was stomach, full of water, and displaced by swelling and abdominal fluid buildup.
Baby did not respond to meloxicam and smz-tmp.. and had been fed water by a rehabber for 24 hours on assumption this was bloat. I started 100% formula and tracked milk all the way through the intestines.
Pieces finally fell together when finder mentioned that baby had been brought to her by the cat. I started clavamox and baytril.. swelling decreased, abdominal fluids were absorbed, and stomach shifted back into place.
Baby is almost looking normal now.

Good news... I am glad you were able to get the additional (missing) information... it's always a huge step towards a positive outcome when all the information is shared!
