good morning. I'm new so please excuse me if I am duplicating here. My latest baby black squirrel is clicking very quietly. Do I wait for more symptoms? I have Baytril 2.5 oral solution but cant seem to determine a safe and effective dose for him. the web says between 5mg and 10mg per KG. He weighs 40 grams. the Baytril bottle says each ml contains 25mg enrofloxacin. Am I shooting for .016ml twice daily? And if so, how do I draw up a dose that small?
Any help is appreciated.

The "click" associated with Aspiration Pneumonia (AP) is a persistent, constant click. They all click at times, especially after eating. If you can here the clicking when they are asleep, then it definitely cause for concern.
Has the baby aspirated formula?
Other symptoms include a loss of appetite and lethargy... a 1ml syringe, no larger, should be used to feed a 40gm squirrel.
More info on Baytril dosing sent in a PM.

So far he is still eating and sleeps alot regardless. He has gotten formula in his nose atleast twice even though we were actually holding back pressure on the syringe. We lost a baby once before due to our inexperience and were being very careful. I'm heart broken here.
So thank you so much for your help. I just don't know how to see your PM...
