Hi,
A squirrel was hit yesterday crossing the street. When I got there to see him, he was stunned and his hind legs were broken. He got himself from the side of the road onto the grass, then into some trees/bushes, and then climbed a tree up to where it looked like his nest was. I was about 10 feet from him for part of it and his hind legs were dragging behind him. My girlfriend and I were attempting to catch him with a towel and bring him to an ER vet nearby but we couldn't get to him. Last I saw he was on the side of the tree, and possibly made it to his nest, but not 100% sure. Can a squirrel survive that type of injury? Is there something else I should have/could have done?
