Hi all again. I was just handed a little 3.5 week old baby today, black little girl. Lady who found her said she was really cold when she found her, and dehydrated. She warmed up the lil one, rehydrated her, with eyedropper, then fed her same way with carnation milk recipe :( Poor baby had fly eggs on her... which I take to mean she'd been without a mom already for a while.

I've cleaned her up thoroughly, placed her on Pedialyte to cleanse her of the old formula and have now started her on the Fox Valley 20/50, at 50% strength. Next feeding will be 3/4 and next full strength. She took it well but not her 5% though. Will keep watch on that. She weighs 95 gr and took 3cc only.

Now I don't hear any clicking noises. None so far, but she seems to either sneeze or cough every now and then. Quite frequently in fact. Now I'm not sure what that is nor what I should do in such a case. Can someone please advise me?

Should I put her on ABs just in case? I kinda hate giving ABs to such a young one if not truly needed, but if you think I better do it, then which one should I give. I have baytril, Amoxicilin, clindamycin... Also, if I give her ABs, should I give her a bit of yogurt in between dosages?

Yesterday she was fine but today the cough/sneeze has returned. Any advice?

Is she eating well? Is she normal aside from the sneeze/cough or is she more lethargic or not eating well? Hydrating with an eyedropper sounds like a good way to aspirate a little like this but I would expect more symptoms.

She's eating, but not quite her 5% and she sleeps all day - that latter part is normal at her age. She did gain 5gr overnight but now she won't poop. Gave her Pedia for more than 12 hrs when she arrived and she's on FV 20/50 now.
