SO pipet, pip for short, is now 6 weeks old. Eyes opened a week ago last tuesday.

He is still on formula, TV 20/50 and is weight is 142 grams.

Which Is awesome since i got him at 47 grams when he was 4.5 weeks old.

Heres the funny part. I was picking tomatoes out the garden amd left 2 in my chest pocket. Pip was sleeping n the shirt later , migrated over to that pocket and laid on his back clawing the hang out tje shirt.

I thought he wanted fleece until i found the tomatoes.

Being as he hasnt started blocks yet he wasnt allowed the tomatoes.

I do not want to create a picky eater like my first squirrel was.

I order the hi protein blocks for pip from henerys since he will be 7 weeks old on tuesday coming.

I also have the acceptable food list off henerys printed.

QUESTION WHEN DO YOU START THEM ON THE VEGTABLES. I FEEL LIKE A BAD MOM FOR NIT LETTING HIM HAVE THAT TOMATO BUT TOMATOES ARE LIKE CANDY TO SQUIRRELS.

IS THERE A FEEDING CHART ON THE SQUIRREL BOARD SOMEWHERE AND CAN HE EAT THE BLOCKS AT HIS CURRENT AGE 6 WEEKS.?

SINCERELY

I let them get used to block for a week or so and after they are eating it regularly and they are processing and pooping good, I start introducing small amounts of veggies. Continue to offer him formula, let him decide when he does not want it. So, offer him his morning formula first, than afterwords give him a block. He can get formula for lunch, and then formula and a block for dinner. After he is eating the block regularly, start by introducing a small amount of veggies, like a couple green beans, snap peas or some cauliflower. But continue with formula too!
