This female squirrel has always had a bad left front paw, but she's gotten around fine for the last 6 months I've seen her.

Recently, she was not able to sit up anymore. I also noticed that her right back foot has a gash in it and is swollen.

Should I catch her and take her to a Wildlife Center, or will that heal on its own?

The food for her is peanut butter with crushed up rodent block and some sunflower seeds that fall from the bird feeder.

it’s very vulnerable to predators right now. I would try to bring her in Or take to a rehabber until she heals.

It’s hard to tell from the pic but is the gash you are talking about is it right around the ankle? Could it be a thread tangled around her foot? If so that needs to come off ASAP. She could lose her foot.

where are you located? Maybe we can help you find a rehabber in your area.

I'm pretty sure she doesn't come everyday. I have a Havahart trap setup, and she was able to get in and out without triggering it. That was 2 days ago.

We are in a heatwave right now, so I hope she is ok. She seemed to be doing better (more energetic) two days ago. The swelling went down a little. I don't see any string/thread.

I have videos I can share later.
