the baby squirrel is 5 weeks old and today I heard the clicking noise while she was breathing. She is showing the signs of Aspiration pneumonia and honestly, in a bit skeptical about going with ciprofloxacin. If I administer ciprofloxacin, what amount should I administer? Should I go with homeopathy? or should I stick to ciprofloxacin?? Please help!!

Aspiration pneumonia is constant clicking in the CHEST with every breath, awake or asleep and is normally accompanied by increasing lethargy and refusal to eat. If this IS aspiration pneumonia and not just some of the various little mouth noises that baby squirrels make, yes, you need to use the cipro. Homeopathy won't fix bacterial pneumonia.
We can help you dose this properly is you feel it is needed. We will need to know the weight of the baby in grams and the size of the cipro pill you have in milligrams (they make both 250mg and 500mg). YOU will need a 1cc or smaller syringe without the needle - you should be using 1cc syringes to feed the baby and one of those is fine as long as you can read the markings on it.

the squirrel usually clicks after I have fed her. However, she has spiky hair and refuses to have food after some amount has been served. She clicks only after being fed and runs away to sleep as soon as she is fed.
