Good evening, So baby girl came to me severely dehydrated. We tackled that, she looked like she was coming back to us. Started to vigorously suckle the miracle nipple. That was for one day. Now she is back to lethargy. I am forcing droplets of formula and some hydration. She has been having great BMs and urinating regularly. Now her urine has began to smell terrible. Fishy but colorless. Could this be an infection? I have baytril just need dosing. I am afraid I am going to lose this angel if she does start nursing with vigor. Thanks my peeps💜☮️🐿

How long has she been on the Fox Valley?
When you hold her to your ear do you hear a clicking with each breath?
Is she warm / have a heat source?
What strength Baytril do you have?
Have you reviewed this primer on baby squirrel care (6 pages long)?

Hi Spanky. Thanks for the reply. Yes I have read and have done everything recommended by squirrel board. I have a 2 yr old NR that I nursed back from near death. With the help of the amazing people here.
She has been on FV (transitional) for one day. But noticed this yesterday when still on temp GMF. During rehydration her urine had no odor. It is now putrid and she is lethargic. She is 86g calculated 4 wks. Her brother is thriving at 104g.
She starting to do great after rehydration, and for a day was nursing like a pro. She will now not latch and I am back to just getting drops into her. She is however both deficating and urinating before and after each session. BM look great. Urine colorless and fishy.
I have Enroflaxin 20.
Thank you Spanky💜☮️🐿

Spanky I may have confused you.....Petunia is my NR paralyzed and 2 yrs old.
The baby that I have just rescued is ill.
The baby has no aspiration/clicking. Fully hydrated. No other symptoms at all.
