I just went to feed my squirrel and when he was eating the milk it was coming out of his nose because he kept sneezing. Is this normal because he is a baby?

You can also tilt baby forward and gently tap it's back to help it clear the fluid from it's lungs. Aspiration can result in pnemonia, so baby needs to be fed very slowly to prevent this.

Once it has cleared, please listen for any clicking sounds that may develop in baby's breathing. If clicking starts, then baby will need to be treated for pnemonia.

Here's a picture of how to hold the baby while feeding. Notice the syringe tip is pointing UP and the handle part is held lower:

I've spoken with Dina. It sounds like the squirrel has aspirated and starting to click. He is active and hydrated without other known injuries. The squirrel is 6 to 7 weeks old. Dina has access to a vet and antibiotics first thing in the am.

Oh no, I am so glad the little tyke is able to get to the vets ASAP though. Hopefully he will be just fine once he gets the antibiotics.
