I thought it was a squirrel but the tail is not bushy at all!

I’m trying to identify a baby rodent I found in my yard. It is dark colored with a long tail. The tail has hair on it, but it’s eyes are still shut. It has a long body and no distinct markings. Help?

I would have added a picture but I can’t figure out to with this websites format. I want to find a way to feed it but it won’t take anything.

If it's an eyes closed baby squirrel it wont take anything but formula from a syringe with a nipple. Or it's mom.
