This guy has a male approximately 7 weeks old. Feeding with a bottle so I helped him realize that was wrong. He is letting his grandma care for it. He took it to a vet for possible aspiration pneumonia and milk advice. As u know they wouldnt give any.

So he wants to use amoxicillian. I am not a rehabber and he doesnt seem 2 have looked up ya when I recommened the squirrel board . Asked me to look.

I cant find a link with what one he has. Which is amoxicillian and fish antibiotics. I told him no to the fish stuff and I would try to find someone to help bu a link. He is very apprehensive about looking or asking and I was shocked to see he let me respond and get him to talk to me.

He is suppose to get a scale as I said I believe ya need weight in grams. He said he has 2 order it but i said walmart sells scales that weight in grams.

He lives in SELENA KANSAS. he says the squirrrel doesnt seem to have pneumonia but looking at his posted video on face book AP is coming. Cant hear the breathing due to tv but the baby is blowing milk amd sliding off nipple to shake is head.

Can someone help me to help him. He said he is gonna tell grandma to call me. I'll be happy to try amd get either to call a professional rehabber if that's possible.

Sincerely mary

I just reread your post. If the grandma is just fine raising the squirrel, maybe the below information is not necessary. It is here just in case you need it. I wish I could provide antibiotic advice but it is above my level. Hopefully someone else will jump in.

I am hoping that someone on here can help you. If not, I looked up Kansas Wildlife Rehabbers on previous threads and found the information below. I am not personally familiar with the organization below, so (if interested) please call them or have the person on Facebook call them to, 1. make sure they can accommodate another squirrel, and 2. (very important) ask if they are will definitely not euthanize, but instead, do their very best to save the squirrel. (Sorry for the second suggestion as it is upsetting, but unfortunately it is necessary to ask that question.)

Extra:
FYI - A picture might help determine age.

A third option (ask the questions above), http://www.wildlife.rescueshelter.com/Kansas

See below.

PS - I am not a rehabber, but thought I would jump in and try to help. Hopefully someone more experienced will be in touch soon! Thanks for helping!
