Hi, need to give our squirrel with AP some antibiotics. Friends had these two options. Which is better, cipro (outdated july 2019) or doxycycline? Someone was kind enough to give me the dosage for doxy. The cipro is one 500mg pill. Our squirrel is 83 g. Any suggestions/opinions would be welcome

You were answered in your other forum with dosing also sent for the cipro.
Which ever one you go with it needs to be administered asap to turn this
around before she crashes and you can't. Seriously, the sooner the better.

After talking to a wonderful lady from Henry's Pets, we dosed her with the cipro at around 9:30 last night. We gave her a second dose this morning, and she sounds a little better. Clicking is still present but not as noticeable.

Thanks for coming back and letting us know...
Whatever it took to get this baby treated I'm just glad someone got through to you and this baby has a chance to recover.
The clicking will continue to fade out and dissipate but you must continue the full treatment.
BTW, that "wonderful lady from Henry's Pets," is also a long standing and supportive member of TSB.

Thank you so much to everyone for their help. We've only known her for 6 days, but this squirrel has changed our lives! I'm sure most of you can relate.
