Is it safe to dose squirrels with Pepto Bismol ?

If so, what would be the dosing?

Pepto is safe for squirrels, 2 drops for a normal adult squirrel. Stools will be turned black by the pepto, so don't freak out if that happens.

Luna ate a little of a 1000mg Tum around 7:30 to 8 am. Is it alright to give her the Pepto
or do I need to wait a bit longer between the two ? ?

I am nor sure so this is an asking thing. Can they have asprin? The reason is Pepto has "Subsalicylate is chemically related to aspirin" (taken from the Pepto site) in it.

Pepto dosing: Two to three times daily.

If this is bloat, have you tried simethicone (Gax-X)? Simethicone is "safe drug" (relatively speaking), I would not hesitate a couple drops up to 4 times a day for a day or two (full grown squirrel).

Have been giving the CR equivalent of Simethicone off and on for some time....... not really helping.
She has been worse the last few days so need to try some thing else....... hence the PB.

HOW MANY DAYS CAN I GIVE THE PEPTO A WEEK..... TWO ?

Can BENEDRYL be given at the same time or a couple hrs apart OR not at the same time at all ????

A week or two of pepto is not advisable. If it is not helping in a day or two there is some other issue.

Edit: The benadryl and simethicone will not interact, so no worries there.

Aero-OM Simethicona 100mg/ml Suspension - Gotas < > 30 gotas {drops }= 1ml
I have given her 4 to 5 drops {as recommended } ......... once or twice a day off and on.... not every day.

Can you get plain simethicone in CR?

My Google search shows the Aero-OM product may have additional ingredients like metoclopramide (antiemetic to prevent vomiting).

I am not really a fan of metoclopramide (from my human medication perspective) but this also might actually have dimethicone versus simethicone.

Edit: There is a mild interaction between benadryl and metoclopramide (if this in fact in the product; seems to vary by country but I see nothing for CR) but that is the benadryl will reduce the effects of the metoclopramide.

No, this is the only thing we could find here that was like Gas X. Bummer.

Didn't know all that about it.... thought it was the same, just a different brand name.

Hoping the Pepto works...... other wise, don't have any other path. Have tried so many
things..........
she had been doing so great with her new diet and peeing wonderfully.

Depending on how it goes, maybe get a sonogram when the Co-virus passes.
