I have a 4 week old male squirrel whose litter mate keep suckling on his private. It's swollen now and scabbing. I have seperated them, and even though swelling has gone down a little it's really hard for him to urinate. What can I do help with the swelling and scabbing. We as a family worked really hard since they were a week old. Any advice will be appreciated.

Hold a warm, wet cotton ball against his little peenie for 5 or 10 minutes to help soften the scab. Then very carefully - the one with the smallest hands gets to molest the squirrel - roll his penis gently back and forth between two fingers and dab at the tip with the cotton ball to loosen the scab. You may need to do this a couple times to soak/remove all of the scabbing. Then dry it off and put a dab of vaseline on it to help prevent it from re-forming. You may need to do this a number of times to keep it clear until it actually heals.
Are you certain he isn't doing it to himself? Watch him like a hawk. That is a whole other problem. Are you feeding them enough? Often this starts because they are hungry and it kind of looks like a nipple.

We have watched him carefully, when ever we hear him moving around. I also caught the little mate going after it. We feed every 3-4 hours and about 5cc a feeding, should we go less hours and more formula?

Sometimes you just have to separate them. Just make sure both have access to warmth. Keep a close eye on them.

Feeding is per weight... 5% - 7% of body weight. So for a 100gram squirrel, that would be 5ml - 7ml. Feeding by weight is the only way to not over or under feed.
At 4 weeks they should be fed every 4 hours including overnight. Feed every 5 hours or so after their eyes open. Once the eyes open you can let them go 6 - 7 hours overnight without feeding.

What formula are you feeding?
