I just went to give Karma her nut before bed and discovered a packet of tetra lifeguard tablets laying on the ground. It was not there earlier today, so it recently happened. She has free roam of her room, but I have no idea where they came from or how she found them. It looks likes she chewed through the blister pack and 3 are missing. I cannot seem to find toxicity information about the active ingredient online. Does anyone know how concerned I should be about this??? I have a long day of assisting with veterinary surgeries tomorrow but will probably be up all night worrying about her. She is acting completely normal right now. Any advice is appreciated! The earliest I can get her to a clinic willing to see her (since I am not licensed) is tomorrow evening. 313829

Sorry but I couldn’t find any information either. The SDS had virtually no information on it.
Sorry I couldn’t help with this.
If you don’t know where she got it or where it came from, maybe the 3 tablets were already used. I can’t imagine her consuming tablets without leaving remnants somewhere.

My guess is that she opened them, but did not consume them. Look around very carefully including in her box or stash area.

I have a small empty fish tank in her room that has never been used, but to my knowledge it only had a tank heater and a cheap filter sitting in it, I never put any medication packages inside. Based on the chew marks through the foil, I am pretty sure she chewed the tablets out. Fingers crossed that she didn’t eat them. I can’t imagine them being very appealing to eat!

Thank you, I will! It will be quite the challenge though, she has many nesting areas all around the room.

Diggie's Friend would probably know, or know where to find out. Hoping she stashed them rather than ate them.

How is Karma? Did you find any of the tablets stashed? Is she okay?
