Good deals on in shelled nuts

Just wanted to let everyone know that some of the grocery stores have reduced their in shelled nuts that they had for sale during the Holidays. Our local Grocery store ( Krogers ) has bags of 1 pound hazelnuts for $1.00 and 1 pound bags of almonds for .70. Walmart has in shelled nuts also.

Your welcome. I just happened to stop by today and noticed the sale. As embarrassing as it was , I bought a cart full of Hazelnuts in the shell.

And, if you're in Los Angeles Jon's Market has new crop in the shell Chandler Walnuts for $1.29/lb. You can also ask one of the produce workers if there are any of the 50 lb. bags left and stock up for the rest of the year.

UPDATE:
Ralph's (Kroger in Southern California) has in the shell hazelnuts, pecans, almonds and walnuts at $1.99/lb., not as good a price as the above mentioned NY but half the original $3.99/lb.

Today all the in-shell nuts (pecans, almonds, walnuts, hazel nuts) at Ralph's (on Winnetka) are $.99/lb., either loose or in 1 lb. bags.

Aldis had bags of mixed in shell nuts also last year that got marked down.

Silly question - I bought a mixed bag of in shell nuts from Aldi's. Are all the varieties in the bag suitable for Jasper, my eastern gray squirrel?
