Aw, bless her heart - something REALLY frightened her out there! Can you close the drapes and turn up the TV and just act NORMAL around her and hopefully that plus the lack of whatever stimulus she is still getting from outside will let her chill.

She is still barking and we have it dark with the tv on in that area. She is literally falling asleep and still barking. I was just hoping that nothing is wrong with her? She was born in February. I don't know if this is heat thing maybe?? I know her little throat has to be sore by now.

We were able to look her over and her little girl part looks like she has been um in use? She is very red and swollen. And her little nipples are more prominent. I think maybe she has had her virginity taken or either if possible she could be pregnant. Just a guess but these things are all new.

Nipples prominent? Have they been nursed on (wet matted fur)? If you see her daily I would think you could see if she had given birth...

Bless her little heart! It's getting that time of year. My new moms are really aggressive towards their last batch of kits. They're about 16 -18 weeks old and moms are forcefully booting them out of her nest box. I guess they want a little off time before starting over.
Does she have a name?
Can you get video of her doing the barking?
Thanks!

Concerned that she may have had babies; if so they would be without warmth and nourishment.
We have had a number of babies born out of season the last year or so, also some mothers ready to give birth recently.
That said, this is breeding time; watched the squirrels go through matching chases over the last few days. Today hardly any activity likely from being all worn out, now tucked into their tails in their nests.
Perhaps a photo of her lower parts and nipples may help to clarify whether she has been in heat (breeding), or has recently given birth?

I will try to get a pic. My husband said he noticed some yellowish fluid leaking from her girl part earlier. That has me concerned.

Prominent but not nursed on and yes she comes home to her house everyday and night. I was thinking she may have gotten pregnant?

That is a copulation plug. It is a waxy plug deposited by the male to prevent other males from mating with the female.
It is completely normal.
I think you’re going to be a grandma. I think the gestation is 44-45 days.
Edit... I don’t think you can load video directly to TSB. It has to be through another source like SmugMug, YouTube or others.

That's the best news about the yellowish stuff being a plug, not having had babies recently. :serene

She is doing better! Thank you so much! She does look like she may be putting on some weight. And she stayed outside one night this week also!

If she's indeed pregnant, she'll have babies in about 45 days.
She'll probably have an outside nest where she feels safe. And may disappear for a while around the time they are born.
And just maybe she will bring grand babies to visit you about eight or ten weeks after that! :serene
