This is a repost from the non life threatening forum.
I do not have an approximate weight on her . I can try to get one on her tonight before she settles down for bed.
She is no longer itching but acting very strange and seems to be a little off at times. I can't figure out what's wrong with her . She seems to be eating and drinking fine, maybe a little less because she has been sleeping all day. She will be grooming my hand and then will literally attack it . It's not her "play" attack either. Something is off about her. She will stare up like something is there and start jumping around but it's a scared jump .. it's really wierd. Then she will be fine at time but for only a short period and she starts getting mad .. I'm not sure what to think..
It's making me sad because she is not herself. Thought about pain would that do it? Not sure why she would have pain but nothing else makes sense!
Almost like she is trying to tell me something . She will jump around and it's almost like she doesn't realize she is doing it. I'm not sure how to explain it! I'm really worried about her. I just got back from pets Mart to buy a full spectrum light. Its too cold to be outside so she hasn't got sunlight in a while ! I'm trying to think of everything I can to figure this out! I did post photos of her on the other forum.. Thanks for all the help, you guys are amazing !

Hey Shellbee,
Nutella is just beautiful! Sorry she's still having problems.
I'm gonna post one of your posts' from Non Life Threatening thread concerning diet.
It looks pretty good to me but others may chime in..
"She is since 6 months old and was raised with her brother til he unexpectedly passed . I have a few forums on here from having previous concerns and she was taken care of immediately.
She seems to be acting nutty spactic movements at times.. she is eating just fine. The aggression started yesterday and then she seemed to be off today and then the itching nonstop started a few moments before I messaged. Her diet is henerys block kale cucumber Avacodo broccoli carrots squash brussel sprouts plums apples kiwi mango . She gets a a block in the morning a big veggie dish for lunch a block then veggies for supper and fruit for bedtime snack . I did give her grape fruit for the first time today because I felt she was getting bored with her food so I tried something different. I never used to give her nuts but now she is getting hazelnuts walnuts and pecans .. she was getting one a day for a while but now she gets 2 at times I did wash the blanket that was on top of her cage where she plays the most.
One other thing is she feels hotter than usual . I can actually feel heat coming from her "
Hopefully someone will chime in soon.
By the way, is her stool and urine output normal looking and normal amounts?

Sorry it's late but woke up to check on her . I did notice her poop has been a little on the soft side and she has been peeing alot.. maybe I am over thinking it and maybe she has a belly ache . I noticed she tries to come over to cuddle but will only stay for a few like she is uncomfortable. What do squirrel seizures look like. I'm sure that's not the problem, but just driving myself crazy trying to figure it out!
I am going to take everything I can out of the room. Maybe something is frightening her. Just seems to be on edge. I completely cut out nuts from her diet not that she got alot but they were routine and I noticed a small change in her "attitude." I read others stories on here and that's enough to make me not give her any! I appreciate any in input..

Have you ever treated her for mites? Mites can come in on branches from outside or if she has gone outside. They are microscopic, so very difficult to see with the naked eye. Mites can be treated with a drop of kitten/cat Revolution. It requires a Rx from a vet to get it in the US but can be ordered online without a Rx from Joes Pet Meds. I think this would be a very safe first choice to see if it alleviates the problem.

That's why I asked if there was any redness, but in early stages there might not be any. Did you give her branches from outside to play with? Did you take the blanket out?

Thanks for getting back to me.. I apologies for the delay in response. It's been a crazy busy day for me all while worrying about my babes. So I am thinking it was the blankets I had on top of her cage where she plays the most.. I rewashed them with just water , but once I took them away the itching faded.. If it was not that and just a coincidence and it's a behavior issue then it worries me. She didn't sleep much last night..she was up off and on throughout the night and slept most of the day . This is unlike her! She usually naps after her out of the cage time after work (usually a pretty good let's burn up some of her energy play) around 5:30-6 and then and usually gets ups around 7 for her snack, playtime, and then her bath (just a warm wash rag with water) She then stays awake with us til bedtime anywhere between 9-10, for the most part sleeps throughout the night til 430 when I get up for work and even then she eats her block and goes back to bed. She woke up when I got home from work jump around on me a little (with no aggressiveness) and she kept wanting to cuddle so she could sleep. After that I haven't been able to really wake her . Opens her eyes, she is alert just won't get up..
She was doing those spastic movements again last night . She kept running a circle pattern around the room last night. It was 7psetting to see her like that . Almost like she is stressed but then it's gone and is fine.. it really wierd .. thanks for everyone's advice, I greatly appreciate it! Nice to know I have someone that understands the squirrel bond and is super knowledgeable! !

Her behavior is still worrisome to me. Running in circles is not normal. Could she have taken a fall at some point and injured her head? A seizure would look like the squirrel was shaking and there could be stiffening of the limbs. Seizures are very stressful for the squirrel and after one the squirrel is usually exhausted.
What you’re describing sounds like it could be compulsive behavior. There have been folks on here that have used CBD oil to help manage compulsive behaviors with good results. I’m not familiar with how it is dosed, hopefully someone else will offer their opinion.
You mentioned that she gets a couple of blocks everyday. Are you referring to Henrys blocks?
