Found what I believe to be a juvenile in middle of road, unconscious, with eyeball hanging out of socket last week. I took him home to die in peace. As he improved I tried to get medical help without success. Fast forward he is doing well, eyeball dried up and has fallen off, but today I noticed pus at the eyelid. I'm calling my vet in the a.m. for hopefully some antibiotic. Any advice is appreciated - I plan to keep him. Thank you.

Please keep us posted of his condition and could you share some photos when you get a chance?

And there are certain, common antibiotics that squirrels can take for infection. If you or family has any left over just post type, strength and squirrels weight here and someone can dose it for you. (If you have no luck at vet)
