Any useful tips for giving meds to squirrels (5 months old) when the meds may not taste the greatest? For example -- dewormer -- is there anything that you can mix it with to make it more palatable?

Thanks!

Stick the end of the syringe in some honey after loading it with the meds, or load a little honey into the syringe after the meds. Be sure you aim at the side or top of the mouth and not down the throat so you don’t choke him.

What dewormer are you giving and why?

Panacur -- they were having tummy trouble and a fecal showed a hookworm egg. I just wasn't sure if Panacur would taste bad to them, but they definitely do not mind with the honey!

I really struggle to get mine to take the Panacur. If you have found that you still have a struggle even after trying the honey, perhaps try lacing a piece of nut with the Panacur and then freezing it. After that I put a little nut butter over the top to cover the medicine.
Those hookworms are just awful and I hope your little ones will be feeling better again soon.:grouphug
