Hi guys
This little guy's fur is looking thin in back. Noticed it about a week ago. I put a drop of kitten revolution on about that time.

I read a TSB post that mentioned "kitten fur" as a nutritional issue. Worried me that this may be the problem.

He is a little neuro baby and his teeth are misaligned - get trimmed every few weeks. He eats 3 to 4 Henry's blocks a day (all but protein - doesn't like them). I feed him organic baby food in a syringe (kale, sweet potatoes, etc.) just to make sure he gets veggies down. He chews on cherry tomatoes, snap peas, and just today muched on a single brussel sprout for 30 minutes (adorable, people!) but I don't know how much he actually consumed.

He also eats avocado, grapes, soft stuff -- and gets a pecan a day. I purchased Henry's protein and a vita-mix -- tried mixing in baby food to create the "shake," but by the time all that power is mixed in the baby food, he won't eat that much.

Anyway, lots of blah blah here, but if there are any thoughts on the fur or food, I'd love suggestions. Thank you!

Awww, poor baby!

Looks like a big squirrel. Or is it just the picture angle?

Hope someone can help you!

It looks more like barbering to me. Have you noticed him chewing on himself? If it were mites the Revolution should take care of it. You can try rubbing a little coconut oil onto the area a couple of times a day and see if it helps.

As for food. His diet sounds good. You can cook hard squash and sweet potato just slightly to make it softer. He might like that and be able to eat it on his own. If he tolerates being fed by syringe you can get some Harlan Teklad 2018 (online) and grind it up into a powder. Mix it in with the baby food and thin it with some formula so it will go through a syringe. I had fantastic results with my dwarf and hair loss once I added the Harlan block to his diet. I’ve attached pictures so you can see the hair re-growth.

Thanks for the advice. I haven't noticed him chewing on himself. Is that the main indicator?

I'll look for that mix on line and will try cooking the veggies and see if it helps. He just can't seem to chew up leafy greens. They slide right out of his mouth - or he will chew on a tiny leaf for 5 min and still not swallow. I'm thinking I may chop some veggies very fine and mix with baby food, too.

RockyPops -- he isn't a baby, but not not an adult ether. A juvie. And with his neuro issues, he just seems more like a baby compared to his siblings:)

To me they are all babies, even the adults!

They are all just so precious!
