I have a Grey squirrel who we have had since he was a baby. Bottle fed and everything. He has a large inclosure 6ftx4ft 9ft tall in our bedroom. We have made it fun for him with lots of stuff to do. We also let him roam the house for several hours a day.

With that said... I wonder if he will get crazy towards us. He seems so close to us I can’t imagine him getting mean. I give him kisses and cuddles and lots of love. I know he’s a wild animal and I hope to transition him to outdoors in the spring. He only nibbles on me and is a bit tougher with my husband and kids. He scratches the crap out of us while running all around us. Just wondering what the future holds.

I raised a singleton male from 5 weeks to release at eight and 1/2 months old. I let him loose in the house to play every morning, noon and evening while being (supervised). (important)

He never once bit me except in playing, but he did nip my wife a time or two. They seem to accept one person as their "person" and others may not get the royal treatment. But Rocky was always a sweetie and never did get really mean.

I think play and interaction is important for their social skills that they would normally get from siblings.

How old is your baby?

What's his name?

Any pictures or videos?

Thanks for loving him!

They more typically bond to only one person, but there are exceptions. After 6 months up to 1 year old is when they will change, basically longing to be the wild creatures they were born to be.

How old are your children?

This may help...

Nick is about 3.5 months old we think. I think it will break my heart to let him go. If that is what needs to be done I will for sure.
