My boy is recovering from MBD. Actually other than his bones still building back up he has made great strides in his recovery. His appetite has come back and his energy as well. I still give him small amounts of calcium a couple times a week to supplement his diet. He is eating 2 picky blocks in the morning, and small amounts of dried cherries, carrots, sweet potatoes & squash as well as dehydrated apples & pumpkin then a healthy block in the late afternoon.
I noticed what looks like a patch of furr on the back of his neck between his shoulder blades of short furr. The furr isnt completely gone just looks closer to his skin than the other furr, and im trying to be preemptive of anything that could be going on.
I put a uvb lamp on him daily help metabolize the calcium & produce vitamin D.
Is there something Im missing? Thank you ahead for any suggestions or answers.

I agree with RockyPops. A pic would give us a better idea of what you’re seeing. It sounds like you are describing ‘kitten fur’. Kitten fur is associated with a nutritional deficiency. It might be a delayed response to the original deficiencies that led to MBD. Add some avocado to the diet for some healthy fat. They love it. NO pit or skin of the avocado as they are toxic. You can also add some greens like kale, sugar snap peas and broccoli

A pic would be great. :thumbsup.
