Amoxicillin dose!!!???

I believe my 4 week old baby may have pneumonia. He seems like he is breathing hard and has a click when I put my heart to his chest and also is having diarrhea from the formula that I just now found out not to use. I am hydrating then switching to goats milk till my formula comes in the mail. I have access to amoxicillin not sure what mg yet till I get it. How do I dilute and administer also how long do I have? I won’t get the pill till tonight.

Can you call and ask what the mg is? It would expedite the dosing for when you get it.
I will say that Amoxicillin is not a good antibiotic for aspiration pneumonia. A little fellow died just last night hours after being dosed with Amoxicillin. Ciprofloxacin, doxycycline, Augmentin (Amoxicillin/Clavulanic acid), Baytril would be better.

Doxycycline would be MUCH better but it has to be in date (not expired). Other antibiotics can be used expired but not Doxycycline.
Ask about the expiration date and I need the babies weight.

He is 1.9 grams and the doxycycline was filled on 4/19 so it should be good it’s a capsule. 100mg
